What sets “Ari” apart from the normal Café/Bar concept is the original interior and level of service. Why the emphasis on service? Well, one of the biggest gripes about bars in Rotterdam is the time it takes to get served and the miserable attitude of the staff. If you’ve ever been into the Westerpaviljoen you’ll know exactly what I’m talking about.

Ari is happily very different. The staff are professional and friendly. The clientele is a great mix of young and old (with a few celebrities from Rotterdam thrown in as well). Friday night is a great night for letting your hair down at Ari’s, the music is loud and the punters dance around. If you get a chance, try going there on a warm summer evening. Ari has a proper kitchen with a very appealing menu.
